Throw back to last week, when I was busy preparing for my solo exhibition in the former John Martin brewery.
For this renovation project, I captured the progress on the construction site. Where else could the images be better showcased than at the unique location itself?

The word is out. Finally time to share what I've been working on over the last few weeks. Originally as a photographer and graphic designer - in the end also as a painter, flooring installer, curtains,… all installation works.
As of today the Kammenstraat in Antwerp has a new 2nd hand store - and what a shop!
The shop employs people who cannot immediately find their place in the job market. A store by and for everyone!
Heavy weeks, but what a team thanks to Izabel Goossens, Britt Van Marsenille, Oxfam Belgium, Kringwinkel Antwerp, Dries Otten, LIFE Antwerp and the most fantastic volunteers - each of them carries their own story - each of them are 💎x100… !

Studio KATHAN is presenting its first T-shirt - fully sustainable, completely local and perfectly comfortable. This shirt is the outset of future limited collections with a focus on various unique designs by studio KATHAN. This shirt is part of a fair wear foundation, and is therefore contributing to a better running planet for both people and nature/ AW2022.

2020: how can we ever forget? It was a year that will always be remembered
as a period of quite some uncertainty, of not creating the way we wanted to,
and not being able to get stimulated by the beautiful moments everyday life
in complete freedom provides us.
Essentiel Antwerp offered the opportunity to fill up this empty and hazy space
by organizing their ‘Battle Boredom Contest’. The notable Antwerp-based
fashion brand, challenged literally everybody who wanted to let their creativity
flow and urged creatives all around to design an original artwork.
And low and behold – Studio KATHAN answered that call and won the first prize!
The Studio’s design was included in the Essentiel collection and ended up getting
printed on a high-quality T-shirt. All proceeds were donated to the COVID-19
Solidarity Response Fund to help the World Health Organization fight the pandemic.
Unfortunately, it’s no longer possible to get your hands on this exclusive design,
since all Studio KATHAN x Essentiel T-shirts have been completely sold out.
